Solar activity was low or very low during most of 2006 and only a few displays were monitored. Actually August 19/20 was the only night with clear skies and decent auroras. There was a very active sunspot #10930 which gave birth to four X-class explositions. One of these caused a G4-category magnetic storm (Dec 16th) but unfortunately only a few dim rays could be seen through clouds. |
